2012年より大阪市西成区釜ヶ崎でスタート。「学び合いたい人がいれば、そこが大学」として、地域のさまざまな施設を会場に、ゆるやかな釜芸プロジェクト。天文学、哲学、美学など、年間約100講座を開催中。近隣の高校や中学校への出張講座を行う。展覧会など：ヨコハマトリエンナーレ2014、アーツ前橋「表現の森」(2016)、鳥の演劇祭（2016）、大岡信ことば館「釜芸がやって来た！」(2017)、さいたま国際芸術祭(2020)、大阪関西国際芸術祭(2022, 2023)招聘。

We make our activities regarding the neighborhood as a university.
Kamagasaki University of Arts is managed by a non-profit organization “The room for fullness of Voice, Words, and Hearts (Cocoroom)”. This is a community university and anyone around the world can join. We offer various kinds of workshops and lectures. Each lecture lasts two hours. Although we may speak in faltering English, please join us if you are interested. The entrance fee is based on donation.

大阪市西成区の釜ヶ崎は、日雇い労働者の街として知られていますが、そこには誰もが参加できる市民大学があります。それが「釜ヶ崎芸術大学」です。2012年より開講しており、NPO法人ココルームが運営しています。

なにしてるん？
釜芸を運営するアートNPO法人。2003年、大阪市の現代芸術拠点形成事業に参画し、いまはない新世界フェスティバルゲートで活動スタート。「表現と社会と仕事 と自律」をテーマに喫茶店のふりをしながら、さまざまなであいと問いを重ねてきた。07年に市の事業は終了し、08年釜ヶ崎の端の動物園前商店街に拠点を移す。16年同商店街の南に移転し、スタッフの給与を安定して得るために、2016年にはゲストハウスを開業「ゲストハウスとカフェ と庭ココルーム」を開く。

Cocoroom is an art NPO (non-profit organizahon) managing Kamagasaki, University of aaArts.our activities started in 2003. Having roots in the community, Cocoroom is creating oppotunities of meeting peole with different backgrounds, expreassing ourselves, adn styding together. We opened a guesthouse in April 2016.
